Over the weekend we went on our first camping trip as a family. We bought a Huge seven man tent, some cooking supplies, and of course some fun camping food and we were off. We had a great time. The boys were in heaven! We had tin foil dinners and peach cobbler.... yum. We had a great site right by the bathroom with pleanty of space for the boys to roam. A couple things put a small damper on the trip... like Xander fell in the pit with the warm/hot coals. The good thing is he was only there for a split second and he just got some singed hair and a burn on his ear. Needless to say, he got as many marshmallos as he wanted after that! I think I was more effected than him because he didn't even really cry. Then the other thing was it started to rain super hard at about 5:00 in the morning. We stayed dry and warm but we didn't want to stick around after we got up. We ended up going to Kevin's Mom and Dad's. We had a good breakfast and just hung around there for the afternoon. We were also going to go to Bear World but the rain just wouldn't stop! It's okay we had a good time anyway. We just enjoyed getting away and spending time as a family.

Oh the joy of Camping! That's been on my to-do list ever since Finn was born - 6 1/2 years ago! Good for you!
Where did you guys go camping? We had our first camping trip as a family the first weekend of Sept. It's so fun to get to do things together. Bummer about the rain though!
We just went to Ririe Res. Close to Kevin's Parents and Bear World. Not too exciting but it was good for a first timer.
